It's fabulous that so many Guilds have shows planned for these coming months, as well as the bigger shows being able to start up again too. We are booked in to do several this year - we hope to see you at one of them!
Where you'll find us: Sydney Craft and Quilt Fair will be held at Sydney Olympic Park from Wednesday, June 29th to Sunday, July 3rd this year. This will be our first show since the beginning of 2020. We're looking forward to getting back to our regular shows, and seeing all the lovely faces of our interstate customers who pop by and visit. Now is a great time to place an Aurifil order if you'd like to collect it at the show. Let us know what you need - if you're simply updating your collection or have a special request and we'll organise to have it at the show for you.
Don't forget about the Waverley Patchworkers Quilt Show, being held at the Mulgrave Community Centre on Saturday the 4th and Sunday the 5th of June. We'll be one of the shop traders at the show, and there will be an amazing range of quilts on display.
Crossroads Kit We've updated our shop sample of Rachelle Denney's Crossroads pattern. Made with the stunning floral fabrics from Jason Yenter's Watercolor Beauty range, we've put together kits so that you can make this gorgeous quilt yourself. Kit makes the single bed size quilt, 74" x 74" (188cm x 188cm)
Ours is made with a white background, however we also have made alternative smaller samples. One with a grey background and one with an ecru background.
Flocons de Neige (Snow Flakes) Véronique's latest quilt Flocon de Neige was inspired by an antique quilt and is currently on display in our shop. We have patterns for this quilt and have also put starter packs together for it. Finished quilt size approx 66.5" x 66.5" (170cm x 170cm)

Modern Building Blocks by Brigette Heitland (Zen Chic) The perfect book for those who want to launch themselves into trying a more modern approach to quilting. This book is a small encyclopedia of blocks, detailed with care, making it perfect for beginners. Each block has instructions to make it in 2 different sizes and are listed from easiest to hardest.
Simply Home by Anni Downs Anni's latest book contains projects both small and large, from cushions to sewing accessories and quilts, all featuring her sweet and delicate country style.

Classes
Join Michelle Yeo for class on Saturday 4th of June and Saturday the 2nd of July for the full day (10am to 3:30pm). Bring along any of Michelle's patterns and spend the day stitching under her expert guidance. Cost for the full day is $75, bookings are essential.
