SILK RIBBON EMBROIDERY AND CREWEL EMBROIDERY CLASSES
We are delighted and feel very privileged to welcome Tatiana Popova to commence teaching classes at our shop!
Tatiana is a Ukrainian embroidery artist who is best known for her colourful crewel and beautiful silk ribbon designs. Tatiana is an international tutor and embroidery designer, having developed a range of her own ribbon and crewel kits. She is also a Search Press author, her Crewel Embroidery book became a bestseller.
Initially, we will be offering a 1-day class in Silk Ribbon Embroidery, and a 2-day class in Crewel Embroidery. Further classes will be announced in due course.
SILK RIBBON EMBROIDERY: The project for this class is: ROSE MINIATURES Wednesday 15th June 10am – 3.30pm Cost: $85 for the class – payable in full at the time of booking Kit fee: $35 (cash only for the kit please) which includes the background fabric, and hand-dyed silk ribbons There will be a small requirements list i.e. general sewing supplies, needles, hoop etc Skill level – beginner to intermediate.
The class will cover techniques used to make these beautiful roses, which can be arranged in a variety of designs.
CREWEL EMBROIDERY: The project for this class is: BIRD OF HAPPINESS 2-day class: Wednesday 22nd June and Friday 24th June. Each day is 10am – 3.30pm Cost is $170 for the two days – payable in full at the time of booking Kit fee: tbc There will be a small requirements list i.e. general sewing supplies, needles, threads, hoop etc Skill level – beginner to intermediate. Bookings are essential and can be made by contacting us at the shop.
