I just wanted to fill you all in on what’s happening here at Sewn and Quilted at the moment. Life has been incredibly challenging this past week or so to say the least.
My mother had a very bad fall at the beginning of last week, was in Palliative Care for 8 days, and sadly passed away on Tuesday.
The level 4 COVID restrictions also started here in Victoria during this time, and as a consequence the staff who usually work here are in lockdown in their homes. This of course just leaves me to do my best to keep things ticking along.
My priority this past couple of weeks has of course been supporting my father, mum’s needs, and now organising what needs to be done since mum’s passing. This has meant, this week in particular without other staff here to help, that filling your mail orders, answering dozens of email enquiries and everything else associated with running the shop have all fallen behind. I apologise for this and ask for your patience and understanding as I slowly work my way through everything to catch up.
I am enormously thankful for everyone’s support over the last few months since the walk-in part of our shop temporarily closed in March. I so look forward to the day when we can open our doors again and some normality returns to our lives!
