March 2021

Slowly, slowly some normality is creeping back into the classroom and shop.  It’s SO FABULOUS to have the buzz of students with us again with beautiful projects and fabrics surrounding us.

BOM Update

Pour Helene – Quiltmania BOM for 2021
This is proving to be very popular, so don’t hesitate to contact us if you’d like to join in.  We are hoping to receive all of the beautiful Stof fabric towards the end of March, and the first packs will be available once we can get them cut and packed. Of course COVID and lockdowns have been the cause of the delays in supply.

Books

Homegrown by Sue Spargo

As written by Sue about her most recent quilt pattern :

As the saying goes, “Home is where the Heart is”… from cottages to casistas, from mud houses to log cabins, homes from across the globe gather together in Homegrown. Built around our town square, Homegrown is a multi-layered quilt using hand dyed wools and textural fabrics.
Homes may be pieced or layered, then enchanced with embroidery in a vast array of fibers differing in type and weight. As with all towns, expect the unexpected… mystery stitched random elements will appear throughout the quilt.

Also includes the patterns for 3 bonus projects : Sunnyside Manor Pincushion, Peep Party Zip Bag and Home Sweet Home Spool Sack.

We also stock the full range of Sue Spargo Felted Wools, matching Ellana Threads, Eleganza Threads and Creative Stitching 2 (which is required to complete the quilt).
