The Whittingham Quilt
From Christopher Wilson-Tate, a pattern from another of the wonderful antique quilts in his collection.  The coverlet originated from Northumberland, England in a very lovely ancient village going back 900 years called Whittingham.
Christopher purchased it from Elizabeth Fraser; she was in her 70’s when he met her and her daughter in Whittingham. Elizabeth was given the quilt by her grandmother many years before.  It dates to around mid Victorian times 1840’s/1850’s. This English rare and quite unique design coverlet had literally just been passed down through the family!

Windermere  by Di Ford Hall.  A tribute booklet and "Windermere" pattern released in honour of Di Ford-Hall's memory.

A beautiful full colour 32-page booklet including a very detailed pattern for "Windermere", her last quilt pattern, as well as a written tribute about Di with some photos. A small donation from each booklet sold will go to The Leukaemia Foundation.

Throughout her treatment in 2019, Di was working on this quilt, named after the beautiful fabric range she had just released with Andover. Although it was coming together a little slower than she would have liked, it was a real joy for her on the days that she was up to sewing.

Unfortunately Di passed away before she could complete "Windermere", so her friends from The Secret Sewing Sisters put it together and finished it and then Helen Hayes quilted it. Lenora Jenkins from Elm Grove Patchwork is assisting with completion of the pattern.
