SHOP AND CLASS UPDATE With the Corona Virus impacting us all, here is what is currently happening at our shop – at this very point in time anyway! Class Update:
We are continuing to run most of our classes both this week and next week, for those who feel comfortable coming along, and providing we have a reasonable number of people wanting to come. We fully understand that some people have chosen to self-isolate for a variety of reasons. We also fully understand how important sewing is to us all, and the friendship and social interaction of a class!
Everyone has been so considerate in not coming if they feel even the slightest symptom of a cold – so thank you!
We have implemented a range of additional daily cleaning measures to keep our classroom, bathroom and shop as sanitized as possible
We will again review classes moving forward after the next week or two
Shop Update: Our shop continues to be open Tuesday thru Saturday, 10am – 4pm. We’d love you to call in!
Mail orders of course are available on-line, or we are just a phone call away if you’d like to order anything.
Live locally, but prefer not to physically come into the shop? Then simply give us a call and we can have your parcel ready for you to collect from our door, or we can even do a curb side delivery to your car!
Long-Arm Quilting: As many of you know, we offer a long-arm edge-to-edge quilting service. We don’t have too long a waiting list currently, so now is a great time to book your quilt in! No need to make an appointment, just bring your quilt in any time during our normal business hours (Tues thru Sat: 10am – 4pm).
AQC Update: Due to the current government regulations regarding gatherings of large numbers of people, the Australasian Quilt Convention (AQC) that is an annual April event, has been postponed and re-scheduled for Thursday 20th – Sunday 23rd August. Going to miss your normal shopping with us at AQC in April? Remember we are just a phone call away in the meantime!
Other Shop Events over the next couple of months: Our Sit and Sew day that we had scheduled for Saturday 4th April has been cancelled. Our normal ‘1st Saturday of the Month’ general classes are currently planned to go ahead that day at the shop instead. Our Winter Workshop Program – at this stage we will be planning some special classes during the week of Monday 6th July through to Saturday 11th July. However, this event will be scaled down in size to what we normally offer, and will be held at our shop, not the Church venue we usually hire. This will also mean that our Sit and Sew scheduled for Saturday 11th July will not be going ahead. Of course, the viability of running these classes will need to be assessed closer to July. Stay tuned and keep your fingers crossed that life is a little more normal by then!
