Alfred Template and Instructions
This happy, bright wall quilt uses a combination of slow stitched backgrounds, raw edge applique, simple stitches and Liberty “scraps” – perfect for kitting up!The pattern includes a 56 page pattern book which breaks down each block with layout and stitchery designs and 13 templates to create the birds.
These templates can produce more than 96 different birds by changing the combinations of bodies, tails and wings, and will extend their use far beyond making just the one quilt!

ALSO AVAILABLE :
- Background Starter Pack - contains various mustards and neutrals, along with the calico to complete the slow stitched blocks
- Full Background Pack - contains the starter pack as described above, the green background fabrics and matching Eleganza Perle 8 thread for hand quilting the finished quilt.
- Liberty Pack - contains 10 Fat 1/32nds in a variety of colours for the birds.
- Full Kit - contains the pattern, full background pack as described above and 16 Fat 1/32nds of Liberty for the birds.
We have also selected alternative background colours from our range of Stof shot cottons and matched them to Eleganza Perle 8 threads - the colours are pale green, light blue and mauve. If you'd prefer one of these colours rather than the bright green in the kit please let us know in the comments.
