Presented on an elegant white wooden spool, Aurifil 8wt is a 2ply thread produced in Italy to the same standards you’ve come to know and love. It is available in a palette of 20 captivating colors, spanning from the ever-popular muted neutrals to an array of inviting warm and cool hues.
Uses:
It is ideal for hand quilting, embroidery, and cross stitch or anytime something a little heavier than 12wt is desired.
Needle Recommendations:
- Machine: Denim or topstitch needle - size 100/16 (40 or 28 wt in the bobbin)
- Hand Quilting - Milliner's needle size 3 or 5
- Embroidery - Crewel/Embroidery needle size 5, or Sashiko needles
- Cross Stitch - Embroidery needle size 3
Tips:
- For hand sewing, use a short length of thread, around 12"-18" to reduce tangling.
