Rachael has been passionate about all things quilt related since she discovered patchwork and quilting 10 years ago. Her quilts have recieved many awards including multiple awards for Best in Show at various venues, Best use of Colour, Most Innovative at Dare to Differ, and the Worls of Beauty Award 2018 in Houston. Words often used to describe her style are whimsical, creative and happy. Whilst honouring the tradition of quilting, Rachael likes to find fresh ways to try new techniques to interpret conventional designs. She uses a lot of 3D elements in her work such as yoyos, prairie points, wool felt, appliqued and pieced denim and trims.
